Micromanagement is surely the scourge of outsource work. It can be the result of good intentions or genuine concerns, though more often is related to a lack of trust in the ability of another person to do a job well.

Think about it for a second. Why buy a limousine and drive it yourself? If you spend a lot of time with a worker, helping them with every detail, every consideration; guiding them, checking their quality, picking up any mistakes or issues … you may get great results, but it already cost you two payments – your salary and their payment – as well as precious time for you.
